Our dev team is under attack by the flu season and we’ve been sick AF. Because of that, unfortunately I have to announce that we’ll have to delay our first release.

Over the last four weeks we have been fixing bugs, as well as integrating Google authentication. We’ve also been modifying the in-app user interface, it’s now a bit prettier and more functional.

We decided to change the authentication system to Google because it’s more user-friendly, and makes things with Google Play much easier. We don’t gather or save any personal data from users, we only get the user’s Google ID, nothing else. You will still be anonymous. We need your Google ID to connect your login to your OddOgle profile.

The image showcase screen has been changed from Grid View to List View. It makes it possible to show the picture’s score in the Feed, so you don’t have to open the picture to see its score. We also made the Profile page more informative. You can now see some neat little stats like how many pictures you’ve posted, how many comments you’ve written and how many characters your longest comments are!

We’ve also had massive brainstorms and we’ve come up with lots of fun ideas to gamify OddOgle a bit more. I’ll blog more about that soon, so stay tuned!

Stay curious, keep ogling. 🙂
